The night of the hospital ordeal with the weird doctor, I slept as usual, waking up every hour to go to the toilet. But this time, it was accompanied by the room spinning and nausea and such discomfort that I ended up praying to the porcelain god. Three times. In one night. Bad.
Every time I put my head down, the room spins. Every time I change position, the room moves. It was like being on a boat on a rough day. Affected AY's sleep too. Poor guy had to work the next day. I ended up sleeping on the couch sitting down close to 6am. Bad. Real bad.
I ended up sleeping the whole day because if I moved my head the world shakes its head to say no. It was the same on Wednesday but this time I only threw up twice. And once on Thursday. All in the middle of the night or very early in the morning.
AY cooked porridge on Wednesday and worked from home on Thursday. I also talked to my midwife early that morning, and we decided to rest it out and see how I feel in the next 24 hours because I had an inkling that it wasn't pregnancy related and I still feel JB moving as usual.
I then diagnosed myself with either an inner ear infection or BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo), especially as I feel the room spins even when I hugged AY goodbye (because he is a good, like, 25cm taller than me!) and my inner left ear hurts at random times (which I initially thought was a toothache). But because by Saturday I could not stand the discomfort anymore and my parents kept on asking how I was, I decided to get assessed at the emergency department.
It took just more than half an hour to get antibiotics for my, yes, inner ear infection (but on the right side, and no, we don't know why it hurts on the left instead). Today, a good five days from when I started taking the medication, nothing has improved. In fact, I feel that my left ear hurts even more! I really hope it goes away before I go into labour as I don't think I want to be dealing with pains from both my upper and lower body. YIKES!
And with my low iron count, these are the medicines that I have to take everyday.
The green is the antibiotic and boy is it nasty!

Busuk gila okay!
(And how grainy is this photo?)
I did not write about the hospital emergency trip #1, did I? That's because it was due to post-coital bleeding. Nobody wants to talk about that. It's embarrassing**. LOL!

And oiyh, I have had my aunts and uncles and a few ex-tutors on my Facebook friends list, but now I have my father-in-law on there too! So no more random dummy spits!

JB Update:
Depending on which due date we're following, I would either be in my 37th or 39th week of pregnancy. Either way, my routine check-up with midwife C yesterday concluded that JB's head is still very high in my uterus, or tummy, or something. Which is where it is not supposed to be. She said she expected the head would be lower and ready to descend into the world.
Apparently it could be due to the cord tying around JB's neck, preventing the head to fall naturally or that JB's head was too big and would not fit through my pelvic bone.
DOUBLE YIKES!
AY said not too worry, but how could I not if even C said be prepared for a long labour or even a Caesarian. I don't mind the long labour, if I have to, but Caesarian? Oiyh!
Anyways, maybe it serves me right because I kept on telling JB not to come out yet, I wanted to initially wait for AY's birthday but now I can't wait!
(Maybe just till TokMa arrives kay sayang?)
But at least now I get to sit like a man! Thighs apart, chest forward. Ho-yeah!

Meanwhile, the last load of JB's laundry have been washed and hung to dry, weather permitting. It took forever to hang all those tiny socks but they are oh-so-cute!
Wow, look how crystal clear this photo is!
Will explain why in another entry.
But here is a sneak preview!

Oh and whoa, what is that?

Please excuse the bonbon. Pic was taken 21/05/10 (Week 35/36)
*Yes, it's 9.47am, which is my bedtime normally - but we've got people repairing the storm damage last March.
**I really don't know why because the whole reason we're having JB is because of the said coitus anyways. Hahaha. But imagine going to the hospital and having to talk about it to strangers. AY stayed in the car and did not even want to show his face. Poyo! Saje biar I malu sorang-sorang!

yey, finally a pic of ur belly..sar, TAK besar pun..
ReplyDeleteaaah can't wait..i yg nervous for u n hai nie..hikhikhik..
JB tunggu g'ma die la i rs..hehehe
hi sara.. aah la perut u tak besar sgt. lucky u tak payang susah nk usung perut. i rasa perut i skang lg besar kot hehe... nway, between long labour n c-sect, i think i prefer c-sect kot (talking from experience). sbenarnye c-sect ni tak sakit langsung.. rilek jer. cuma u kena jaga la lps bersalin tu. cara pantang dia lain sket dari org bersalin normal ni. so dont be stressed out thinking dat u might hv to do a c-sect. kalau dah ditakdirkan just terima n dun panic. tp kite doa la so dat it will be a smooth sailing one.. be it normal delivery or c-sect.
ReplyDeleteluv,
