Well, here is the reason.
Because we are expecting JB any day now if everything goes well, I will most probably be in confinement when AY celebrates his birthday in July. He has been wanting a digital SLR camera for ages and I thought we would need a good camera to capture *the* moment anyway, why don't get one now.
I did not get him the whole thing, well, I haven't been working, how can I afford it? So, me and JB (yes, JB chipped in some money too) only paid for the deposit. I really wish it could have been more. He had to wait about 10 days to June 1st to actually get the camera, but I'm guessing the wait was worth it when he was all giddy and happy the night he went to get the camera. *He practically ignored me, LOL*
Si jakun, kesian dia.
Did not even want to change from his work clothes!

And because I am also dreading the confinement period where I will probably just eat clear soup (blergh), I cooked a 'birthday meal' for AY the night before to start the celebration.
Of all the lamb shank, mashed potatoes and steamed veges, I liked the impromptu garlic bread the best. It's been a while since I cooked something western because I/JB have been craving lots of Melayu and Asian food throughout the pregnancy.
Not too mention junk food and instant noodles! Haih.
Anyways, happy early birthday yayang. We'll definitely celebrate again on your real birthday with Baby L, insya-Allah!

Yesterday we had some work done to the apartment. The March storm damaged our handrail and there were some watermark in two of the three bedrooms' ceiling. All they did was replace the handrail and scraped the bubbles and then obviously repaint the ceiling.
The room upstairs has one king bed and our bedroom has a queen but we ended up sleeping in the only room that was not affected by the storm, i.e, no paint fumes which only has a single bed!
I don't know if it was the mattress that felt different, the proximity of me and AY or just plain tiredness, but I did not even get up to go to the toilet, not even once! How funny was that?
